Product Description

This new variation on our original selectorized CT-1 Cable Tower features a dual handle system with pivoting pulleys, expanding the athlete’s range of motion and their ability to perform two-handed movements (such as cable flys, high pulls, cable press, etc.) without having to train isolaterally. Suited for large-scale facilities and garage gyms alike, this stand-alone unit does requires a minimum of 10’ x 10’ of space for optimal use and must be bolted to the floor (mounting hardware not included).

The CT-1X2 is manufactured in the USA and features a 3x3” 11-gauge steel construction with a medium gloss black powdercoat finish. The system ships fully assembled and comes with many of the same components as our Monster Lat Pulldown 2.0 machine, including 6” machined aluminum pulleys, a 1/4” USA MIL Spec cable, and an adjustable diamond-tread footplate. With the 300LB weight stack, the two pulleys can also combine to create a 1:1 ratio when connected together. So while each handle has a max weight of 150LB, the resistance is maxed at 300LB if they are joined at the same attachment point (via the included carabiners). The weight stack is adjustable by 10LB increments and has 1” band attachment pegs at the top and bottom, allowing banded work to be incorporated into any movement. Protective 14-gauge shrouds are also provided on each side of the stack to help avoid pinch points.

The dual handle system on the CT-1X2 Cable Tower can be quickly set up high or low depending on the workout, utilizing the knurled stainless steel adjustment handle. There are 16 different height adjustment settings on the 2x2 rail, and with acetal pads inside the handle assembly, users can easily move the swivel up and down without damaging the stainless slide tube. The low row foot deck is adjustable, as well (with 8 settings), and has a diamond-tread plate and texture black finish for a reliable grip.

What Sets the Rogue CT-1X2 Cable Tower Apart:

2:1 and 1:1 Stack Options
1

2:1 and 1:1 Stack Options

The CT-1X2 has a 300LB weight stack (compared to the 250 LB stack of the standard CT-1), which gives the athlete the option of training at a 2:1 ratio (with a single carabiner on each side, 150LB max) or a 1:1 ratio (with both carabiners connected for a 300 LB max). The weight stack is adjustable by 10LB increments and has 1” plastic band attachment pegs at the top and bottom, allowing banded work to be incorporated into any movement.

Dual Handle System
2

Dual Handle System

Rather than a traditional single-handle column, the CT-1X2 features dual swivel pulleys with a pair of Rogue Single Handle Cable Attachments included standard. The pulleys and cables are protected by UHMW plastic and can be adjusted to 16 different height settings. Their pivoting design allows for a full range of motion during most movements, and enables athletes to effectively train cable flys, high pulls, cable presses, and other two-handed movements that would have to be done isolaterally in a single-handle set-up. In addition to the included handle pair, customers can add other compatible attachments to their order, including the Rogue Tricep Strap, Leather Tricep Strap, Grip Triangle, Tricep Push Down Attachment, and a wide array of Monster Resistance Bands.

Quality Rogue Construction

Quality Rogue Construction

Made in the USA from 3x3” 11-gauge steel, this 107.5" tall, 760 LB Cable Tower is engineered for the use of athletes in a large-scale pro, collegiate, or high school training facility, as well as for personal use in home gyms. While it creates just a 54” x 60” footprint, the unit requires a recommended 10’ x 10’ of space and should be mounted to the floor in all cases (mounting hardware not included). The column’s 6” aluminum pulleys and 300 LB weight stack are both machined in-house, and the 1/4” cable itself is made to the same military specifications as aircraft cable; jacketed in nylon for superior flexibility and durability.

Nice piece of equipment
I have a decent gym set up in my basement and really needed a cable machine to complete the set up. After checking out the reviews and pics on this equipment I decided to pull the trigger. Yes its very big and heavy but I did not want a piece of junk and Rogue never disappoints. After careful measurements and planning (unlike some that did not do research) I decided I would take it apart to get it into my basement. It came apart easily and was able to be carried by me and my 58 year old father in law down the stairs (which are straight with no turns). I then reassembled with a battery impact in about 90 minutes. I used 2 pieces of plywood and furniture sliders to get it upright. The top stands right in between my ceiling joists in a 9' basement. Easy peasy. If you dont plan to disassemble the unit I would not recommend getting this if there are any stairs involved whatsoever. The 42" wise base is welded and you cannot avoid that dimension nor could you twist and turn through a standard doorway with the weight stack intact. Unless you have power lifters for friends...

Rogue CT-1X2 Cable Machine
I purchased this item and had it about two months now and would definitely recommend it BUT before buying ensure you read the specifications and know that the weights are attached. In total I would estimate it around 700 pounds and I could not imagine trying to move it anywhere but GROUND LEVEL. The only drawback is the weight stack is in 10 lbs increments (4 stars) I would think that Rogue would have supplied a 5 or 2.5 lbs accessory weights.

Oversized do not purchase for studio/gym
When receiving my tower I was super excited to be able to put it to use. A few things that were major issues. One the weight stack is already attached and this is a huge machine so it makes taking it from outside your door to inside my gym extremely difficult. 2) Based on metrics you would think it could fit in a traditional commercial gym or studio space. No, its extremely tall, and once you sit it upright it can fit but the creator didn't equate for the fact that the legs and tall peak that you'll need to clear in order to sit it up. Needless to say, it took out part of my roof. Also, if you want to return this item you'll need to keep the pallet (the one you'll need to break down and disassemble completely to get in the door) in order for them to accept the return. And even if you did make a huge purchase there will be no leniency on the return policy. So just know it's your problem they already got paid.
how tall the item really is

Our team will continue to work with you to get this item returned within our guidelines.

Great Cable machine for garage
I’ve only had this piece for about a week but I already love it. I’ve been waiting for a machine like this for quite some time. Other machines are too big and won’t fit in my 9ft high garage, or the other cable machine Rogue offers only has 1 cable pulley. Once they released this machine that was small enough to fit in my garage and had two cable pulleys it’s what I’ve been waiting for. Overall: This machine is amazing. The cables are very smooth. The dozens of exercises you are able to do makes this machine worth it. The fact is arrives fully assembled is an added plus. The attachments that come along with the machine are very “rogue like”, meaning they are heavy and durable. If I have to nitpick, there are only a few things. -Be careful about the delivery. I never received a call about the delivery. This machine is over 1000lbs. They advise you have a forklift to get it off the truck. I did not. My delivery guy was awesome and worked with me to get it off his truck. It easily could have been a failed delivery. -I’m a trainer, they weight stack finishes at #300lbs, starts at #20lb. I train older clients, and even 20lbs is too much for an isolated move like a tricep extension. The weight stack has only #10lb incremental jumps. I would like to see a 5lb attachment you can add on top of the stack to allow for smaller jumps. -lastly, the 2 pulleys are heavy!!! So when folding the cables up and down to adjust the cables from high to low it takes effort. This is understandable, but something that should be noted.. In all, as a trainer out of my garage, this is a perfect fit. It is a bit pricey but I’ve been missing a cable element in the garage setting. I have an air runner, and for the same price of the runner all I can do is run while on this machine I have tons of options and workouts. If you have the finances, yes it’s worth it. This machine is built to perfection and seems durable (so far). I was worried about cable chest flys as it was not in the description as an option but even chest flys are smooth and doable. I plan on uploading a video soon, if you’re still on the fence.

Beast of a machine
This is a beast of a machine. If your home gym has room to fit it...do it. Capabilities: One of the beautiful things about the machine is its limitless capabilities. The Rogue webpage shows a number of exercises that you can perform on the machine, however, as is typical of many homegymers, you are really only limited by your imagination. For example, with the help of a flat bench to sit on, a wide lat pulldown bar, and a band peg to hold your legs down in place, heavy lat pulldowns are easily accomplished. I have no clue why you'd buy the dedicated lat pulldown machine when this machine accomplishes everything you can do on there and 1000% more. Another example, with a flat bench and a set of ankle cuff attachments, prone hamstring curls are no problem. Neither of these examples are "compromises". You can lift heavy, with great form, just as you would on dedicated lat pulldown or hamstring curl. Bottomline, get creative, have the right auxiliary equipment, and this machine opens up a TON of exercises and acts a swiss army for your home gym. Also, I'd add that this since this machine is built using the MONSTER platform with 3x3 steel and 1'' bolts....if compliments your Monster rack very well and you can also use the holes on this machine to store attachments. For example, extra band pegs fit in the holes, need a place to store your padded roller? Put it through one of the holes. Need a place to store some extra weights? Put a Monster storage peg through a hole. Want to attach a landmine to the back of the machine? Do it. Size: The thing is huge and it weighs a ton. Ok, shipped weight was 1060lbs but nonetheless, it's a monster. With the help of some friends (4 people total) and some monster band pegs to use as lifting handles, moving the machine in place is totally doable with ease. Going down a set of stairs? I can't even imagine. That said, it takes up relative little floor space for the amount of exercises you can do with it and the 300 lb stack with capabilities to do 1:1 or 2:1 weight ratio is absolutely a game changer. No bands are needed, even if it has band pegs. There is PLENTY of weight to lift here. Bottomline: take your measurements at home carefully. This is a tall machine, it takes up 54x60'' floor space, and it comes nearly fully assembled. Do your homework and be prepared and you'll be rewarded. Speaking of being prepared, getting off the semi can be a real nightmare, or an easy experience. You can rent a forklift for your house ($$$$)(but easy)...you can pick it up at the freight terminal if you have a truck and trailer ($)(easy)...or you can check out "homegymhangout" on IG, scroll his videos, and find the video posted on May 13, 2022 where he shows you step by step how to build the dollys and unload it from the semi using some lumber, some large casters (wheels), and ingenuity; if you are even remotely handy and remember to keep safe, this is VERY doable and I've unloaded 4 machines with this technique. You can and should also show your driver the video multiple times before you unload it. Just remember to be very safe and stay clear; you will NOT stop this falling object. This is a VERY heavy piece and you paid for it; dont rush. ($)(very easy IF you pay attention and think meticulously about your plan). Thanks to homegymhangout for making the video! Hope this info helps you if you're thinking about this machine. This is in another class from standard functional trainers and I quite frankly have no clue why you'd buy anything else if you're in the market for a cable machine. Skip the lat pulldown machine, skip the $2000 functional trainer. Get this or better yet get two.
