Rogue HD Concrete Anchors

Compatible with any Rogue rig or rack, our HD Concrete Anchors are the best option we have found for bolting a unit securely to the ground. Traditional concrete wedge-style anchors are a pain to use—once you sink the anchor in the ground, grinding it off is the only way to remove it. Mangle the thread on a traditional anchor and you can forget about screwing on the nut.

By contrast, our removable HD Concrete Anchor acts like a screw. Drill a 3/8" pilot hole with a masonry bit (a hammer drill helps here!) and you can drive the HD Concrete Anchor into the ground with a 9/16" socket. The result, as one customer put it, “is a squat rack (or rig) that feels like it was built as part of your house.”

Better still, if you want to move the anchored rack or rig at a later time, you can simply unbolt the anchor, drill another pilot hole and bolt your rack back down. It’s a simple solution for both dependable stability and long-term convenience.

See the video at the top of the page for a step-by-step guide to attaching your rack/rig to concrete.

Please Note: Customers bolting on top of stall mats or rubber flooring may need longer anchors depending on the thickness of the flooring. Another option would be to cut the flooring out where the footplate is to get ample length of anchor into the ground.

Essential Item
Do you have an Infinity rack? You need to buy these, they are great! I purchased these and after securing my rack to the floor with them, it doesn't move at all. If you are buying an Infinity R-6 rack, this will make it as solid as your house. I a hammer drill from Home Depot and the installation of the anchors was easy.

Don’t overlook the drill
These screws work exactly as described with one important caveat. You MUST use the right drill. I made the mistake of first trying to use a light duty hammer drill. This resulted in about 3 hours of wasted time, a broken bit, and a ton of frustration. A strait hammer drill won’t do the trick. You need a Roto Hammer drill as pictured. If you don’t have one you’ll have to factor in another 50 bucks to rent one for 4 hours from Home Depot. If you have the right drill, install is a breeze and the results are incredible rock solid stability. In short...plan ahead, get a full sized Roto Hammer Drill as pictured, and you won’t have any problems.

Must-have to make your rack rigid
My Monster rack was not very stiff before I secured it but after bolting it to the floor it is rock-solid. Tips and notes: If drilling through concrete, use a hammer drill and 3/8 inch concrete drill bit, available at a tool rental business (I rented one for four hours at Home Depot). Square your rack before locating the holes. My rack was narrower at the bottom than the top, so I cut and inserted 2x4s as spacers between the sides of the rack. You might need to loosen and re-tighten the top crossmembers to square everything up. To use all three holes in each foot, you must remove the bottom supports. Fasten the bottom supports after securing to the floor.
2x4s cut to 43 inches long, held in place with straps
1/2 inch rubber flooring is nearly flush with feet of rack.

Caution if bolting on top of mats
Bought these recently with my rogue RML390. Went to mount the rack on top of stall mats as I’m sure many people do. I started to question how secure they would be since I’d be losing 1/3 of the mounted depth into the concrete. Called rogue who said they suggest using 4 inch anchors from local hardware store if mounting on top of stall mats. They told me to go ahead and return the rogue anchors. When I went to return the anchors found out it was going to cost 50% of the anchor purchase price just for shipping. I’m sure the anchors would work fine for some applications but if installing your rack on top of stall mats be aware rogue recommends a 4 inch anchor which they do not sell.

They do the job
These do the job just fine. I do wan't to correct something in the description though. If you use wedge-style anchors, and you think you may want to move your rig/rack later, drill the hole deep enough and you can hammer the anchor down into the concrete when you move the rack. No need to grind those off.

The perfect stabilization for your squat rack
These worked perfectly. All I had to do is buy a 3/8" concrete drill bit (around $6) and pre-drill the holes. Unlike the video, I pre-drilled my holes directly thru the rubber mats. After that it was a matter of using a 9/16" socket to tighten them in. It doesn't get much easier than that. The result is a squat rack (or rig) that feels like it was built as part of the house. There is no movement at all. This one is a must if you are on the bigger size. I weigh 210# and the ML-490 would start moving during butterflies. Not any more...
