Road To The Arnold – 2024 | Andrea Thompson

At the age of 41, British Strongwoman Andrea Thompson isn’t just one of the most respected ambassadors of her sport; she’s also still among its most dangerous international competitors. A former World’s Strongest Woman and a 3x podium finisher at the Arnold Strongwoman Classic, Andrea has also made memorable appearances in the Rogue Record Breakers challenges over the years, and has set world records in the Elephant Bar Deadlift, Log Lift, and Wheel of Pain.

Andrea Thompson’s strength career began just over a decade ago, when she was already a 30 year-old mother of two. Now, she is finding a new form of inspiration from her teen daughters and the next generation of strong (and strong-minded) female athletes coming up the ranks. “To now see women in strength is such a motivation,” she says. “They can be strong women and have muscle and be proud of themselves.”

While Andrea respects her younger Strongwoman competitors, she has no intention of surrendering her podium spot in Columbus any time soon.
